New Fenton Athletic Stadium Opens

Fenton Area Public Schools has officially opened its new athletic stadium, hosting a community open house on September 12. The new all-weather turf is lined for football and soccer games. Separate grandstands for home and visiting teams were built on opposite sides of the stadium, with wheelchair access on the home bleachers from both above and below the grandstand. An eight-lane track replaces the former six-lane track, and dual-direction pole vault and long jump runways are now located north of the stadium. New concession and restroom facilities are available along with a visiting team dressing room just south of the field.

Improvements to Fenton's baseball, softball, soccer and tennis complexes have also been made, and work continues on a new practice gym and the addition of two lanes to the swimming pool.
